Not even considering the lack of credibility of the source, don't you think that is kinda a dumb thing to quote considering how Russia's communist system completely imploded in favor of a more free market (albeit with severe faults) system?

1.) They're not ok.

2.) I wasn't blaming President Bush for President Obama's failures of leadership, which there are plenty.

3.) Context is important, especially in the all critical internet political fisticuffs.

4.) The system that Obama is abusing (NSA, etc) were set up by the party that now wants to take control over the entire shooting match. If you don't think that's important, then it's time to take the blinders off.

5.) Geroge H.W. Bush & Ronald Reagan instituted more gun control than Bill Clinton & Barack Obama.

INSTITUTED? Please refresh my memory as to what gun controls your referring to. Who penned then and who controlled the house and Senate at the time when they were voted on.

The problem is that They Do Want to Take Our Guns Away!!!!!!!!! Failure to recognize this fact is akin to an ostrich hiding it's head in the sand! The alternative is to take them on NOW and prevent them from achieving their stated goals. ( Just read Feinstein, Shumer, Pelosi, Bloomberg, et al, and their stated goals.)

A new Cook County Sheriff’s team is crisscrossing the suburbs to seize guns from thousands of people whose Firearm Owner’s Identification Cards have been revoked.

More than 3,000 people in Cook County have failed to surrender their revoked FOID cards to the state. Sheriff Tom Dart said he thinks many of them continue to possess firearms.

The Chicago Police Department conducts regular missions to recover revoked FOID cards and seize guns from the holders, but there wasn’t a concerted effort to do that in Cook County’s suburbs, Dart said.

One problem (of many) with that thinking is that it will be a Pyrrhic victory. No, make that a Pyrrhic tie as the current pro-gun environment is so strong "they" can't even prevent a terrorist from buying a gun at a show. You guys are hopping mad about views in a magazine that simply echo Scalia's opinion that the 2nd doesn't protect everything. When you are farther to the right than Scalia you are in territory I didn't know existed.

Trust me, we understand that some people want to take our guns away; however, among other things, the cost of an increased conservative presence will be a big hit to our hunting opportunities as I explained earlier. Feel free to disagree, but if you do tell Randy Newberg, and myself and the many others here that we are idiots for spending so much time and effort to fight over 100 MT republican bills that were bad for hunting last year. On the national level our republican Senate candidate was a hunter's nightmare and we put a lot of effort into preventing his victory too. I'm sorry you think we are the problem with America.

I for one don't appreciate being called a hypocrite or other names because you folks can't put up a better choice - at least out west. When you folks go off on the disaster of liberals you fail to see the worse disaster in the alternative. Maybe it is different where you live, but that is the reality out here.
