Definitely going into territory he won't be coming back from easily with those statements.

I'll just leave this little tidbit from the Brady Facebook page here for the ones saying we are reading to much into it:

"the feces created when shame eats too much stupid". noharleyyet I am awestruck. I will use that line frequently and soon. Thank you for making my day and expanding my insult quiver.

So, your hanging out on the Brady Facebook page, but you want me to worry about a opinion piece in guns and ammo:confused:

I don't know any gun owner who doesn't believe in some type of second amendment regulation. Again, it's just a matter of where your "line" is

In Dicks state they just passed a law for getting a CCW you have to have 16 hours of training, that is what he thinks is a good idea aka - his line

Thats not where my line is, but I have a line for sure. I don't want 14 y/o's buying guns, I don't want someone walking into a gun store with obvious mental issues and walking out with a firearm. And I have a plethora of other firearm regulations I have no problem with. Does this mean someone should start a letter writing campaign to get me fired from my job? Hope not. Does it mean that I am a gun grabber...... only if you don't know how to handle it at the range and I'm within grabbing range.

That's your comeback

His line is stupid and my heart bleeds for IL and what liberals in Chicago allow law abiding citizens to do.

That already exists

Depends, what is your job? :D

 I used magenta cause that was straight up gay

So does the law that Dick believes is a good idea. So I guess your arguement is invalid then

Good grief, why do you hate freedom? If I am a law abiding adult citizen of sound mind I should be able to carry an object designed to protect my family, my self and property without having to jump thru hoops to do so. We have enough laws already. They only affect good upstanding citizens.

Hate Freedom, wtf are you talking about? Have you even read the article this thread was started about? I will do a google search to see if I can find it on some type of books on tape for you..............................

Nope, can't find a books on tape version. You are going to have to actually read the article before you comment again.

Only one person in this thread isn't a hard headed retard. No offense. People need to be a bit more open minded. Really confused as to what people are so up in arms about. You must be the same people who went and bought all the ammo up after assault ban talks elevated, as if every gun you own was going to be taken from your cold dead hands. (CHILL,NO ONE IS TAKING YOUR GUNS)

Some really uneducated people who own guns and give gun owners a bad name. It sickens me to see such hard headness as a proud gun owner.

Since I am a hard-headed retard, I guess you must just be another liberal in conservative clothing that thinks this idiot clown show in Washington is not going to try to take away the rights of the Second Amendment, and then the First etc. etc.

I would say that you are the hard-headed retard in all this for swallowing all the drivel that these politically correct morons such as Dicky Metcalf keep spewing.

Wake up and look at what is going on in this country.

This was circulated today: FYI

Dear Reader,

Dynamic changes for “Guns & Ammo” have been in development for many preceding months, and were to first appear in the March issue. Given recent events, we will move forward and begin implementing these changes effective immediately.

Dick Metcalf has had a long and distinguished career as a gunwriter, but his association with Guns & Ammo has officially ended.

The February issue will mark the introduction of Eric R. Poole as the new editor of “Guns & Ammo” magazine. Eric has previously written features with “Guns & Ammo” on new products and has contributed to the “Modern Sporting Rifles” column every other month. He’s known for his passionate advocacy of Second Amendment rights, and continues to be a lifelong student of all things related to firearms. Most recently, you may recognize him for having been the editor-in-chief of special interest publications produced by “Guns & Ammo,” including “Book of the AR-15,” “SNIPER,” “Surplus Firearms,” “Book of the AK47,” “TRIGGER” and many others since 2009.

Eric Poole is himself a long-time reader of “Guns & Ammo” and brings with him a fresh vision for the magazine and digital products. In the coming months he will introduce new contributors carrying credible backgrounds, thoughtful content and a new style. He is a graduate of Virginia Military Institute, a Marine combat veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, a smallbore and highpower rifle competitor, gun collector, as well as a marksmanship instructor. During his formative years, he worked for four years at the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. He views the opportunity to lead “Guns & Ammo” as the ultimate achievement in his shooting career, which began decades ago with his father, himself a retired police officer and gun enthusiast.

Every reader is extremely important to Guns & Ammo magazine and we value our relationship with you. I ask you personally to maintain your support of Guns & Ammo magazine and give Eric Poole the opportunity to continue the prominence that “Guns & Ammo” has had in promoting all types of firearms, firearm sports and – firearm rights – since it was first published in 1958.

Sincerely,

Chris Agnes

Publisher, Guns & Ammo

14 year old people have access to bomb materials and the educational information to make them.

The gun is just a tool

So the solution and what is your time frame. If you can fix our societal issues you will be our savior.

I don't pretend to know the solution, but I do know it starts with the family.

When people like you blame weapons and not the person, the time frame is extended.

I don't understand this argument at all. You don't believe in any regulations on buying firearms?

I don't want a 14 y/o buying a bottle of whiskey either, but they could go online and figure out how to distill it, so we should abolish an age limit to buying alcohol?
