First off assault weapons are already regulated, you can't just go out and acquire a Thompson sub machine gun or an M-16. Since AR style guns are nothing but semi-automatic, just like my Remington 1100, Browning A-5, Browning Rifle and Ruger Mini-14, they are NOT assault weapons. Secondly would you care to explain what a "high capacity clip" is? None of my guns even use stripper clips, much less a high capacity clip. Now I do have some 30 round magazines for my Bushmaster and my mini-14; but a magazine isn't a clip and a clip certainly isn't a magazine!

If an individual wants to commit a crime, it doesn't matter if they are 10, 14, 18, 21, or even 81, they will find a way to commit their criminal action. The facts are that it may be with a gun, but it could just as easily be with a bomb, an axe, or a Louisville Slugger. If there were 20 children and 2 or 3 teachers beaten to death with baseball bats in any city in the nation I seriously doubt that there would be any debate about banning baseball bats. The liberals have been trying to outlaw gun ownership in this country long before Obama came along, and they will be continuing to make the same effort long after he's dead and buried ( I say it in that way, because I actually believe he will create a situation for installing martial law and suspending elections prior to the end of his current term).

Any true blooded American patriot, especially one who claims to be a hunter and a gun owner who feels compelled to go along with any further anti-Second Amendment laws, should forfeit their guns, and disassociate themselves from the gun owning and hunting community and like RINOs such as Chris Christie, just go ahead and declare themselves liberal socialist and be done with it. Stop masquerading as a member of the hunting and gun owning community and be what you truly are..........a damn liberal socialist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liberalism is destroying the freedoms of this country and it is amazing how many people are willing to ignore the facts to push their one-size-fits-all agenda. I agree! Except that part about the Rs wanting to sell off our public lands. And, well, come to think about it, them cutting the Land and Water Conservation fund was kind of a bad idea too. And I still haven't quite got over the time that they voted to exempt Homeland Security from all environmental laws so they could (with zero oversight) build roads and military bases in wilderness areas. Kind of getting sick of their war on wildlife here in the West too. And that time last year that they wanted to have hunters pay for capturing and killing elk if they thought they had brucellosis, well that just seemed like an idea that would hurt hunting. And you know, I'm not too happy about them exempting fracking from the CWA either. Or subsidizing the fossil fuel companies so they can drill baby drill the hell out of antelope and mule deer habitat. And that reminds me, I really don't like them stripmining coal and shipping it to China so they can send the mercury back to us in the air because they have no environmental regulation. But it is all worthwhile since they see the danger in someone who restates Scalia's interpretation of the 2nd amendment and then suggests that 16 hours of training is reasonable for a concealed weapons permit. As you all know, it's a slippery slope and, while the endtimes are near, we can't risk losing our guns before they come.

Montana, ND, SD, and WY don't seem to have a lot of murders compared to the rest of the Country and have few gun laws and easy CC laws compared to the rest of the Country.
