I don't understand this argument at all. You don't believe in any regulations on buying firearms?

I don't want a 14 y/o buying a bottle of whiskey either, but they could go online and figure out how to distill it, so we should abolish an age limit to buying alcohol?

I don't understand why you brought 14 year old people into this debate.

Many 14 year old people go hunting with a gun.

It's an example of a gun regulation that I believe is a good idea, which ties back into the article that this thread was started about.

Why did you choose 14 and not 16 or 17?

Law abiding citizens don't commit crimes.

Criminals commit crimes and there is no law that will deter them from committing crimes using any weapon they choose.

I used 14 y/o because that is my youngest son's age. while I am around I completely trust him with guns, cars, tools and lots of other things that could be dangerous in the wrong hands.

Not wanting a 14 y/o kid buying a gun has nothing to do with thinking they will commit s crime with it. Most Kids aren't mature enough to make life choices that involve anything past 10 minutes of right now.

Again, this is just one example of a regulation that I believe is a good idea. I have a hard time believing that any person can honestly think there shouldn't be any regulations to owning a firearm.

Who said there should be no regulations?

Should there be regulations on free speech?

People commit suicide because of speech.

I don't pretend to know the solution, but I do know it starts with the family.

When people like you blame weapons and not the person, the time frame is extended.

Agreed the root issue is our loss of family and society values. The reality is there is no immediate fix and the easy access to guns creates opportunity for those who fall out to harm the innocent.

My solution. Ban assault and high capacity clips. Criminalize people who don't secure weapons they own. Background check all ownership transfers. Get help for the mentally ill and people on margins of society.

Start the name calling now!

Oh boy. We should criminalize people who have alcohol in their fridge because it allows easy access for kids and the mental. We should criminalize people that have more than 2 beers or 2 oz of liquor in their homes. Alcohol related deaths are around 75,000 per year. Gun related deaths are under 9,000 a year.

If I want to gift a firearm to a friend or relative that is my business and should never require a background check.

Lowering the round capacity of a standard cap magazine will do nothing but help criminals.

Well, if you were a baseball player at least you wouldn't be sent to the minors for that batting average.

Guess I'm a criminal under your solution.

WV Hunter,
You are trying to make sense to a person who knows what he knows and does not want to be confused by facts !!!

Great video, says it all!

I totally agree with his response, and took his original article for what was actually written, and still don'/t get what the uproar is.

I'm not sure if I just have a different perspective as many other gun owners, or my reading comprehension is different.

Alcohol can't kill 20 kids and 6 teachers in 15 minutes. Unless the school bus driver is drunk and goes over a cliff.

Spread fear video. Uncle Joe Biden has the solution; it's called a shotgun. Nobody goes far with OO buck at close range. Option B is double tap to the head.

Was good for a laugh.

Also why wouldn't he put a fresh clip in after dropping the first guy?

Let's see how long it takes Dickie to become a full time grabbers' $ockpuppet.

Neither can a gun or bullet unless it is driven by a maniac. All your feel good effort will not stop murderers from being born and raised. Punishing the sane and removing civil liberties is a lame response
