Best vacation deal in Idaho!

" Beats the heck outta paying $90 a nite for some bedbug infested motel room."

Yeah and when you join the WWP you can be in bug infested company all year round.

Compare the side benefits from WWP to what you get if you join the Blue Ribbon Coalition! BRC just takes your money and gives you nothin'. What a scam! :D :D Keep givin' BRC your cash and watch the fatassed ATV's get more restrictions piled on every day! :D

EG, if that is the case. How much money goes into the local economy, and how much goes into the pockets of the board of directors?

EG, I never said that they are getting rich. I asked how much of the money goes into the local economy. The last time I sent an email to the WWP they never responded (didn't like the question I guess. To close to a nerve(?)).

Ten,

Send them membership money, and ask your questions....

You are the first person I have ever heard that thought somebody was getting rich at WWP.

Just exactly what is your concern? That they are spending too much advertising a $25 a night room in an old ranch house on the East Fork?

My concern is with their impact/alteration of the local economy in rural Idaho. You've yet to show how the local economy has benefitted......

Don`t you know Buzz walks 100 miles a day when he hunts...wears out 2 pairs of boots...throws 2-3 elk over his shoulder, packs them out...then goes back in cause he forgot his knife... That Buzz a.k.a. Shaft is a bad mother. :D
[ note to Buzz "tongue in cheek"]

Ten,
How clueless are you??? Who ever claimed that Greenfire was a for-profit operation, or was intended to make any type of example of economic benefit to the Upper Salmon Region? The purpose of the ranch is to show how much hunting and fishing can be improved if you take cattle off of MY PUBLIC LANDS.

"MY PUBLIC LANDS"

Isn't this the root of all your arguements? I thought it was OUR public lands. How come you think you know whats right for the rest of us.

AK, How could anything that destroys so much public land be good for the public? Overgrazing has caused 60% of all BLM to be in poor condition. 85% of all BLM riparian zones are in poor condition due to overgrazing.

Is that how you want our public lands treated?

Because the rest of you seem to be happy with them being trashed, and I would like to be able to hunt them and fish them, and even more important, be able to pass them along to my kids, and someday grandkids.

If I am wrong, in three generations, people can always add roads, overgrazed lands, dams, oil wells, and clearcuts.

But if you are wrong, you can't repair the damage from the roads, dams, oil wells, and clear cuts.

Which approach will YOUR great-great-great-great grandkids likely prefer?

Maybe since these are OUR lands they should be administered by the government which WE elected.

"But if you are wrong, you can't repair the damage from the roads, dams, oil wells, and clear cuts."

It sure is amazing what nature can do...Do you honestly think nature won't retake everything man has done when we are gone?

Look at all the old logging roads that aren't used anymore...you can hardly see them after 10 years? Clear cuts...how is this any different than the current envirowacko policy of no logginbg and letting everything burn to the ground. I would bet it takes less time for a clearcut area to regrow than an area that burns so hot, as most of todays fires, takes to regrow.

Since you are so against grazing, I would guess that you are vegitarians. If you don't shoot anything this year...are you eating tofu??

How about if the lands were administered in compliance to the LAWS of the nation, not the current political flunkee of Dubya's?

Have you ever seen a large scale mining operation? I am guessing 10 years is not gonna fix many of those.

And you might want to study up on forest management, but leaving the nutrients in the forest is far healthier than hauling them out on a truck to the mill.

I actually love Tofu in the Hot and Sour Soup at my favorite Chinese restraunt.....

But I pretty much have access to all the beef I want, as I happen to own and raise cattle. I just happen to do it on private deeded land. You see, I kind of believe in Capitalism, where one risks their capital for economic gain. I have a hard time subscribing to Socialism or Communism like you must prefer, where we use the public assets for economic activity. And you are free to correct me on which you subscribe to, Communism or Socialism, as I tend to get them mixed up....

I am in the resource extraction business...I have seen it all. Come see the largets coal mine in Alaska...the reclaimed lamd would be graet elk country down South.

"And you might want to study up on forest management, but leaving the nutrients in the forest is far healthier than hauling them out on a truck to the mill."

What about when the fires burn so hot they sterilize the ground.

"How about if the lands were administered in compliance to the LAWS of the nation, not the current political flunkee of Dubya's?"

And this is any different than when your buddy Bill Clinton was in office?

Great that you will soon have Elk in that part of Alaska. If you want to see another great mine, come to Idaho and tour the Stibnite mine. You can see a helluva nice SuperFund site on the East Fork of the South Fork of the Salmon River. A great place to catch Chinook, 800 miles from the ocean, as long as you don't want to eat the glow in the dark salmon....

Well, if you leave the burned timber, it will eventually break down, and add nutrients to your "allegedly" sterile ground. If you haul it out on a truck, then you just have sterile ground.

Actually, I never met Clinton, so I can't say he was my buddy. In fact, I never voted for him, as I am a Republican, and he was a Democrat.
