2025 Garden!

Came back from vacation to 85 degree weather and a bunch of new growth. Big cold front is on the way though, might touch freezing Wednesday morning. Hopefully the peas and lettuce didn't mind a couple hot days and the peppers and tomatoes will be fine getting covered. 20250406_082631.jpg20250406_082637.jpg

Speargrass as my wife calls it it's pretty Frost hardy. It grew wild along the South Platte River by the farm we used to live on. Unless you are expecting a hard frost I am not sure you have much to worry about. Also depend on variety.

Take a look at walls of water. I use those on a lot of things. Beer in Cheyenne we are expecting '70s all next week and 40s at night. Some stuff I'm just planning and some stuff I'm putting lots of water around them. Them things really work and I have a abundance of tomatoes and squash every year. Another thing you can do that I sometimes do is take and build a 2x2 frame over them and use some heavier Mill plastic as a tent cover. Needs to be clear plastic to let sign in but that also holds the heat enough to get us through spring.
