Summer Solstice, here today and gone tomorrow

I find that folks who like summer generally don't live where the heat index is 100 plus for 4 months straight or have to deal with hurricanes lol.

Fall can't get here soon enough for me.

I can't figure out for the life of me why my ancestors chose Louisiana when they settled here in 1807. They were a lot tougher than me.
I have never taken to high temps and humidity.
NM has the altitude to cool things down some. The humidity will get up there with the monsoons.
"It's a dry humidity"...LOL ,until an evening downpour soaks you and then it's get dry and don't freeze.

108f at the ranch this weekend and hovering around 105 rest of the week.

Hot and humid here in east TX. I catfished some yesterday and called it quits around 1100; covered in sweat.

Looked at the area I hunted CO last year and the high for the week is 75. I casually told my wife we are moving to the mountains, she rolled her eyes. 🫣
