Stump the Chump!

Great intro to an iconic musical novella...

The red headed stranger from Blue Rock, Montana
Rode into town one day
And under his knees was a ragin' black stallion
And walkin' behind was a bay

I also like country

Well my daddy left home when I was three

He was an old time cowboy dont you understand

Sometimes its hard to be a woman

Hank, thanks of letting me play along. You, and others were successful in bringing back so many wonderful memories

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas

Willie Nelson “The album Red Headed Stranger” I love that album and when I was in the 80s I saw the movie that Willie Nelson made inspired by that album And I had the smokin hot Morgan Fairchild and Catherine Ross, Those girls are easy on the eyes and actually was very good movie I’ve always wanted to get it on DVD but I’ve never been able to find a DVD release of it

SLO town is halfway between the City & Smell-A.
Everyone would stop & do a gig,on the way to & fro.

Here a good one. The anti-nuke movement was big with Diablo being built. Lots of free concerts.
We had the Rainbow Festival and Jackson Brown,Bonnie Raitt, the Airplane & Glady's Knight & the Pips.
Huge hit. We have a after party at our ranch, local bands,BBQ wild pig,hot tub(wood heated).
A Roar goes out front of the house. It's Gladys & the Pips with the Airplane.
Man, Papa John Creech was a blast in the hot tub.

His live performance of the album at ACL is as good as it gets...

This one is for Europe, I was listening to this song on the way to work couple days ago and for whatever reason it made me think of Europe because she’s across the pond and so is the band that sings it

I know that song !! Aaagghh … it’s on the tip of my tongue but my mind is blank but it’s a super popular song by a super famous band or musician I’m drawing a blank right now but it’ll come to me
Join the club. Ken has me in fits of it.

My parents had some good friends that lived in Arroyo Grande, that we would visit in the 70s. Nice area back then. Tried to dig some Pismo beach clams once but none were big enough.

We used to sell limits to the valley folks and go get more, huge clams. Abalone...did I just say that online?
I lived in rural AG, Los Berros and below Lopez Lake. Did 5 years lake Patrol there.
The trick to the clams was all the big ones were deep and we had boards so...

My brother went to Cal Poly SLO in the early 70's. He ended up working in events at the student union. He lives in Atascadero today.
He got to meet a lot of folks playing there. The craziest thing he says he saw was when Al Yankovich was a student and playing around town all the time with an accordion.

I was still in high school and my friends and I would drive down there to run Broad St. We somehow thought those college gals would find us attractive.
We were just clueless kids.

The last show I went to down that way was Kenny Loggins at the fairgrounds in Paso Robles.

I moved there in 75 but spent childhood weekends before. MT was too cold.
