I took my 60 something year old prim and proper aunt to see the Stones. (She got high on second hand pot smoke). Same with the Who, and Guess Who.
She took me to see The marriage of Figeuro.
I took her to see Jesus Christ Superstar and the rock opera Hair.
She introduced me to the symphony, opera and the Los Angeles museum of fine arts.
Those were some of the best "dates" I've ever been on.

She came in thru the bathroom window....I couldn't start with the 1st line,dead give away. Joe Cockers version,killer.
I've got fond memories of the Mad Dogs and Bonnie & Delanies "friends". Alot went on at Jim Keltners families places....and where I met George Harrison & he gave me the stage pass..........the stories I could tell.....Leon Russell was a real charactor & gentleman at the same time.
Took me until a bit ago to get"Conquistidor...." Procol Harum of course ,I can hear him now.
One of the other big arrangement/orchestration bands. Moody Blues,Procol Harum,ELO,Pink Floyd.
Pink Floyd. Hollywood Bowl......

Good taste in music Hank. I burned a lot of gray cells in those days. Pink Floyd are still phenomenal.

January, 1968. His band, The Mother's of Invention spent 3 weeks in Zion National Park. They showed up in a converted school bus. I'm a high school senior living in Springdale. I was with them almost every night around a campfire. Nice people. You should have seen their first aid kit! They were worried about snake bites. In January. So they brought morphine and LSD. Frank shows up around day 15 or so. He was a bit of an ass.
Frank had a studio off Foothill in Monrovia,down the hill from friends..........more stories. A braincell eating period in my life,sober 32 years now....wow.
