Thanks guys ! I'm really happy for him. Hopefully we get him healed up enough for an elk hunt in the morning.

I got to say, that picture doesnt do that buck justice, i think he is better in person:);)

Just for kicks, we had to see if our guesses were accurate...The tape reads out at 147 2/8" . And only a 13" inside spread.....a cool, cool buck for sure.

Very happy for Dan. Great on you Critter for making such great efforts to make special times for Dan. Very nice to see him have this great buck. Congrats to both of you.
 
Obviously the guy can shoot and in any situation that looks like an awesome buck to me! Maybe it's just me - the guy with one dinky whitetail to his name - but it's gonna take a pretty good bull to equal that buck. Good luck on finding an elk.
 
Well, a strikeout for this week. Dan just wasn't quite feeling up for a hunt today so he is in route back home to get rested up.

We are planning the last week of the rifle season for him to come back over and tip over a bull elk so if anyone finds one with easy access thats stuck in the mud, or tied to a tree, please let me know:):)

Hopefully it will all come together that week.
 
Congrats to Dan on that dandy whitetail. Critter, way to go man, you are really to be congratulated on giving it your all on getting Dan and elk.
 
Well guys, i was really hoping to be updating this thread with a picture of Dan with the grip and grin on a bull. Unfortunately, we still have not found a bull or even a place that will allow us to shoot a bull. I thought we had a slam dunk spot for today and the tomorrow if needed but appartenly the ranch owner has changed his mind. He must feel that the 500 head on his place would be detrimented by one lone elk being shot.

I must say, there are some real a$$holios here that i've found through this process. Many people who don't care of the kids situation, just not going to let him come out.

Dan's condition has been rough the past week or so and will likely only have one more day to shoot one .

Anyone that has anyplace, anywhere in MT, in a general area, please let me know.

You have done an awesome job critter. Pretty amazing thread to mull and appreciate as we approach Thanksgiving.
 
That's an awful shame that you can't find someone that is caring enough to help you out in this situation. Do these guys want money, or are they just unwilling period?
 
Most are just unwilling period.............I've offered the money side.

Looks like we have someone stepping up to the plate here, got a couple leads for mid week. Keeping fingers crossed that we can go down and find one.
