THanks Brandon, I have him on standby and he can be here in a days notice if needed. I've had a lot of hunttalkers send help my way on this and I can't thank you guys enough for your help.

Although Dan doesn't know I'm rallying the troops, he too will be so appreciative of everyones efforts.

I think he could for a bit but not too long. He had a tough time on a 2 mile ATV ride but it was also pretty steep and rough.

I'm sure if its within a mile or two ride and he is on a good horse, its possible.

Well guys, with a bunch of people's efforts, we are gonna pack up and head out Sunday and Monday...........Got a great guy gonna take us out on a place where there should be some elk around. Also, got a great spot lined out for the last couple days of season if we haven't found one before then.

Thanks again to everyone that has pitched in some time here! Hoping that tuesday, i'll have some pictures for you guys! If we don't shoot one in those two days, we will just have to try a couple more somewhere else

TCG, I'll be back up in MT from the 16th-ish through the 27th with my dad...and I'm bringing my quad outfitted with tracks. That beast is stable as hell and like a snowmobile. Goes anywhere. If that helps with transporting the young man around or packing out an animal, I'll be Captain Shuttle. I'll send you a PM with contact info in case you want to use the tracked quad and chauffeur services.

Sorry if I've taken anything away from the thread regarding ranch purchase...but seriously, feel free to PM me with links/opportunities since I'm in the market (Branden/HS/etc).

Seriously though, back to the original post, I wish I had some way to help but I can't find any elk and I have no friends so....

Seems like you have things lined up for the season, I hope you get the devildog his bull. I really wish I had a place for you but elk access on private land is something I've never been fortunate enough to have. I will be pulling for you this season, please keep us posted.
