The reaons elkgunner gets banned is not because of what he says...but rather who he chooses to challenge intellectually....lets just say he has the ability to whip most people in a debate with half his brain tied behind his back.
If you're part of the mickey mouse club, you can post whatever you want...just dont question the wrong people...

Buzz, I agree. Forums like this tend to deteriorate to the lowest intelligence level----idiot category. Challenge someone's BS and you're unpopular. Waste everybody's time with a bunch of worthless crap and misinformation and that's OK. Idiots can relate to worthless crap.

So Mojave gets emails from people complaining about posters here? I get emails asking me why I bother to try to debate with some of the "knuckleheads" (that's an actual description one used) here. Frankly, I sometimes wonder myself.

I have the ability, education, and motivation to think for myself. You should try it sometime.
Ithaca agreed, but part of winning debates is keeping your edge. This board is good for that. Theres nothing on this board that I havent seen/heard a hundred times in face-to-face debates, at scoping meetings, game and fish meetings, etc. etc. etc.
I believe that there are plenty of people who read this stuff, see through the BS, and walk away more informed. Its pretty easy to see who has the better argument, despite the name calling, etc. etc. etc.

I dont remember you posting anything (other than your uninformed opinion) to dispute or disprove a SINGLE thing from the mountains of info provided by elkgunner, Ithaca, or myself on the dam breaching debate.
Have you sent your opinions to the 15+ agencies, 150+ biologists, and 5 states, 9th circuit court, etc. that are backing dam breaching?????

Well here we are again in another great debate about what is said on SI. I think this is the 2,300th time we have had this debate. |oo
I still don't know why it is that some people take anything said here to heart. It is an internet forum not relationship therapy. I guess if Moosie sees that there are a large number of people turning away from this board because of what is said on SI then something needs to be done but if it is a couple of people then my feelings are: so be it.
If the mods want to censor every post and have to be politically correct all the time; then why don't we all just joing realtree.com or MM.com or any of the other hunting boards that are so worried about hurting each other's feeling that you can't question anyone about anything.
Maybe put a disclaimer on SI that your feelings may get hurt or you may get questioned on what you post and there is a chance you may get called, god forbid, a name. If you cannot stand the shame of being called a name then you best not post here. Go to the curling iron or recipe page or something.
I like SI just the way it is. I can't imagine that there are people so thin skinned that they can't see through all the B.S. and pick out the info that is good.

BHR- Wasn't the $1.87 per kilowatt in a quote? I can't remember off hand but I believe it was. I also believe it was older information. The funny part is, you say he is wrong but don't bring up anything to refute it. Prove the number is wrong, that's all you have to do. Otherwise the information given is all you can use.
