I may be getting old...

I get a huge laugh out of people bitching about ag noise. Most of them live in subdivisions that used to be ag land. Then after they move there, they expect the adjacent remaining farms and ranches that are still operating to refrain from what they have always done. Hilarious. My favorite is when some people in a new subdivision complained because the cows made noise mooing when the calves were weaned. mtmuley
You are pretty much wrong about all of that. But that's because you are where you are. All ag ain't the same.

How is he wrong about any of that. It was an observation and never applied it across the board. You said it yourself, all ag ain’t the same!

Some of you guys argue about the color of the sky don’t you!

Isn’t that the truth. Lots of the younger guys have left or just stopped posting.
who left? im newish - but HT has always seemed like 45-75 as a the std dev ag range

Why i made a thread about it

Thats how it was in Michigan , the farms all became surrounded by subs , of first time buyers that thought they owned the whole world and wanted to make the rules . My best Goose hunting spot/farm was surrounded and they would come into the field to make sure no geese would land , jerks .

I've always found it amusing when people buy property that backs up to a farm field they think it's there's. Dealt with it as a hunter and a farmer. Several times.

You must not have lived in ag country since they pulled plows with horses. It damn sure ain't quiet. Not even a little.
Between the hundreds of beat, grain, and potato trucks. The crop dusters, bellowing momma cows, tractors, and side by sides it's just the kind of peace and quiet I love!

100% legit complaint @seeth07 . It’s reasonable conscientious decency when you’re operating noisy equipment.

The land beside my house got sold and the logging company that clear cut it was there for 4 months from sun up to after sundown, 6 days a week, including the day after Christmas and New Years. I about lost my mind.

One Saturday night at 11pm there was a guy in an excavator working with the lights on less than 300yds from my bedroom window. I went over and had words. Anyone who says “The guy is just doing his job” has no clue. I am a contractor. When I have jobs that are noisy, I do them within reasonable hours.

A handful of the 30+\- year old crowd that were pretty active
I picture seeth and buzzard sitting on a porch bitching about literally everything they can see!

Woken up 1 time by a crop duster? Who really cares?

You might consider asking your HOA president to write a letter or something.
