Drought for the west

Was in NW NM the last few days, lovely rain yesterday and this morning, so nice to be in the desert after a rain. Now back in the San Juan foothills; came home to damp ground, cloudy skies, some success in my first attempt at rain catchment, and thunder in the distance.

Here's hoping the monsoon is here to stay.

The springs are all running well in the Sierra Madres, so Wyoming as of today.

Just more wind here in southern Nevada. It's been this way since October, constantly blowing palm seeds and other crap in my pool.

I'm glad New Mexico is finally getting some moisture.

Wettest June on record by a decent amount for my area. It’s crazy how high streams are, how wet the ground is and how much standing water there is. I wish we could both share it and spread it out over more time

Predicted weather for the past two days was no rain, reality has been over a quarter inch and probably closer to another half inch.

Rained half of Sunday, sometimes hard last night. Over 2 inches in a week, mostly light rains that are soaking in good.

Here in Canon City it got heavily overcast 2 days ago, misty all day yesterday, wet weather forecast all week. Good weed-pulling weather. Fire bans are being lifted in mountain counties, which is rare for this time of year. Atmosphere so juicy yesterday I wanted seafood.

western oregon has just had pretty wet record rains for april,may and june,,hope some of that made it over the cascades,and beyond,,but i know its dry south of here
