CO front range fitness: Mt Morrison ed.

Hey now, start another time trial post! I’ll add my time to that one, and make you feel better about yourself

oh i'll def try and swing down for a mt morrison hill climb!

we'll see about feeling good about myself though...

We could swing the Decalibron loop and get you 3 for the price of 1!
The not intensely technical 14ers (what like, 50 are “normal”?) are in my bucket list and I haven’t hiked one yet. To get three same day would be sweet. I’ve summited 12ers and done our highest 13er here handful of times.

The nicer weather has me wanting to get out. Anyone else doing any hikes recently? I may try to get an early morning one in on Saturday if I can swing it. Sunrise. Let me know if you want to join and that will help me make sure it happens.

i actually could probably swing an early saturday 20lber "run" up mt morrison. gotta drive to Parker from up north anyway.

we'll see.

Just found this, would be fun to do when I have more time this summer. For now, onto my annual tradition of suffering into shape via chasing mountain Merriam's!

Split the difference for my first go with a 40# pack. 1:05 total from gate to concrete. Great throw down, @dmarsh2

First time on the trail and it’s a good one! Can’t wait to see how it progresses as the spring and summer come and go.

20lb pack

50:53 up
31:31 down

Bout all I could muster today.

Too hot, I’m ready for fall already.

I wanted to break 50 minutes and now I’m pissed. Helps ensure I’ll make my way down for another I guess.

Cool to see this one getting some traction! I gotta get down there - it’s just a bit of a drive out of my way that I have squeeze in. Been getting some other good training hikes in closer to me though - a bit odd to repeat but since you are all in the area I will share anyway.

Timed my manitou incline ascent again recently. Of course the day I reserved was rainy and cool. The south face there dries up early
How’d it go? I have wanted to go sub 30min on that badly but haven’t quite made it happen. If I don’t soon I probably never will!
