What a weekend.
I was going here and there all weekend and then took my daughter (13 yrs old) out to the fredericton fis and game rifle range as she got an invite to come and do some shooting. she stepped up grabbed a 223 for her first shots that were not a pellet gun:eek:  and took out the bullseye from 25 yards. Did the same for 50 and 75 yards too. even made the range officers blush as she out shot them.:p she then put 4 just low at 100 yards and man she was hit there. every one just loved watching that stady handed girl shoot. Grabbed a 22 long rifle semmi and put 9 rounds in a space smaller than a dime with on bullet just about an inch away.:D Man she did good and had some fun to boot. She even got to try both a 22 revolver and a semi auto handgun. I even got to try a 357 handgun. WOW. What a day. went home got some luch and then got to watch my 10 yr old play football for the afternoon.
Church then off to a family picnic and play at the playground and back home to transplant rubbarb around 4 and sat down for some rest around 9:30pm.

A very full weekend.:D :D

I think its great your dtr is interested in shooting, Still. I bet there is some openings for competive shooting, I hope. Seems like the sport would be very interested in getting a female as young as her and mentoring her. I don't know where to look for this assistance, but I bet at that club there would be some info.
Last week to put in for moose draw (reminder).
I heard yesterday that there may be some changes to deer season. More than 1 allowed?? Either sex?? Anybody hear anything on this?
Back to work today, gotta think what to do next weekend now. Have a good one guys.

that would be cool to take either sex. As long as there are enought doe around to do so. I tell you it was cool here yesturday and over night,I think it got down in the 40 compared to the 80s we been in for awhile. Good thing about it we didn't have to have the A/C on and we slept great last night.

Well I remembered to take the camera out with me last night and you know what it is hard to take photos of yourself shooting. OH well I stunk again last night so no lose.

The newbie was back and we had some fun as we gave pointers out on a regular basses. ;)

;D

He got the idea to change the rest and tech up the bow and we mentioned that it may throw off more things than he thought. He kinda sounds like me when he says it can't hurt to try it.  ??? :-/

Here he learned how it can. Notice him looking for an arrow while another one sticks out of the base of the ear. ;D ;D

He never lost his good attitude toward shooting and took all the ribbing we could dish out. He is a very good sport and he will do well once we get things tuned in better for him.

Well we all learn't one way or another. But then again the cost of a arrow now a day. Ok here is a few pics to get the mojo started up. And allso I check the camera and there is 18 more pics on it. First off we will start with the bucks, Yes more then one in the pic. Take a look and the first four are bucks and the rest I can not tell. I no they herd up this time of year but I can not beleave there are seven total in this pic.

I am telling you that poor boy has taken some awfull ribbing from us and then turns right around and hands it back to us. He is a good kid and will pick this up in no time. Like myself My hunting buddy felt it was better to let him shoot some and then we would attack the bow and get him fixed up proper.

Hey was that deer saying kiss my butt?

I'm back I almost forgot, I hear you talking about deer license and was wondering if it was time to put in for the doe tag again. I can fine out if there are changing this year from a lady that has help me out the past few years. I need to get mine in right away.

yeah I just check my email and there is no change this year at all. Here is the reply I got from a person that been helping me out every year to apply over the phone. Her reply was ---> There is no change. Every year, there are several rumours about our seasons, licences and draws and this is just one more.

The application period for the Antlerless deer draw begins on June 18. Good luck in the draw!

And trust me she would know, she is in charge with the draws for deer/moose. Either way good luck on both draws and come the 18th I will be scanning my property taxs and last year deer license and making a phone call. Dave if it is ok with you I think I will send my license there just like last year. Have a good weekend guys.

Funny you say that dave, after reading you post I went out there and while I was working. I could hear a hen clucking on the hill. Not sure how many were there since the leave have cover everything up.
