I was wondering if Leupold makes a cover and a tether for there rx 1000 rangefinder. I have done some search's on the net and have come up empty. Hope your doing well, Andy Dockins
Just found out that I drew a pretty good antelope archery tag here in Colorado. The question that ponders those that have done this before...Spot and stalk or ground blind? Just thought I would ask your opinion. Have a good day.
Randy, Just checking in to see if you are in need of any more decals? Let me know if you need more decals or anything else.
Thanks, Jerrett - Blue Devil Creative
Big fan of your TV show and the way you seem to operate and am a new forum member.
I have a loaded question that I'm hoping you can help me with given your experiences with Western hunting and hunt planning.
I'm at the point where I'd like to start planning/making trips out west for big game but will only be able to do 1 every couple years (its a long drive from NJ). I've been out west a few times in the past 15 years (am 27 now) for SD turkey, MT whitetail, fishing.
Can you name a top 3 list of must do DIY hunts by game and state (factors being cost, enjoyability, scenery/mystique and hunting quality) and maybe one I could do if I applied for points for the next 2 years?
Would do it with a bow or rifle given the opportunity and would love to hunt elk or mule deer or antelope.
Thanks for any thoughts you'd have on the subject.
Randy - I just bought a nice Kodiak Flexbow tent and I would love to do that eastern MT mule deer or whitetail hunt you filmed in the ponderosa pines. Which is a better hunt for a first MT hunt? Thanks. Darby Hittle
Randy I just finished watching your eastern Mt elk hunt. episode 33 where you were dropped off by helecopter. anyway the airplane that dropped off the 2 hunters the night b4 and they were hunting the next day. That of course is ilegal and I was wondering if you mentioned that to them.
Randy, my daughter just this evening made me aware of a Finnish movie which has gotten very good reviews, and I thought you might like to know of it if you don't already. It's called Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale; available on DVD or from Netflix. RT
let me know if you need any decals coming up. Also, I know you were talking about a trailer lettering when we first were discussing decals. I am hopefully going to be in MT this fall in Sept for archery hunting. Let me know if you are still looking for a trailer decoration. Thanks, Jerrett Jennings - Blue Devil Creative
Just a quick question... Do you subscribe to HuntinFool? Im new to DIY hunting in the west and wondered if it was a good resource, or something i shouldnt mess with... just wanted to get your opionion.
My name is Mason Davis
I read the thread on your elk hunt in Arizona and it sounds like the same hunt I had last year.
I sure hope you guys put that show together sounds great
I was very fortunate and shot a big bull opening morning. Scored 351 4/8, 51 inches wide and matching 52 inch main beams. We actually had over 35 different bulls on camera during the summer, no cows & all the big bulls left 2 weeks before the rut to look for cows, We got lucky and found some cows on our last scouting trip 5 days before the hunt started. My brother did a great job of cow calling that bull into 50 yards for me.
My brother had the dec elk tag in that unit and shot a 6x6 that scored just under 300 the cool thing was that he shot it at 850 yards with his 264 mag.
I would be happy to text or email you some pictures of our bulls.
