BIG GAME APPLICANTS ALERTED 900 LICENSE INFO NUMBER DISCONTINUED
Contact: Jeff Obrecht
For Immediate Release
CHEYENNE – Over the years, hunters who couldn’t wait for the mail, have called a 900 number to find out if they drew a Wyoming big game or turkey license.
No more can anxious hunters make the 900 call, but they can still find out and even save a little money -- if patient. Now hunters can call (307) 777-4655, without any special charges and find out their drawing luck.
Al Langston, the Game and Fish Department’s Customer Service supervisor, encourages hunters to call, but cautions the one line at this number could be very busy immediately following drawings. He also encourages hunters to log on to the G&F Web site to discover their drawing luck. Callers can check the success of up to three hunters.
The 900 number was discontinued due to declining use and additional requirements mandated by the long distance server.
The G&F’s first license drawings of the year, nonresident elk and resident and nonresident turkey, appears to be on schedule to be conducted Feb. 21.
