When I was cleaning out my reloading bench last weekend, I lined up all the ammo I shoot and took a pic. I am sure there are many out there with far longer and more interesting lists as well as the "one gun shooter" who gets it done with a single round. Let's see 'em

Ammo - 1.jpeg

Left to right: 12ga, 20ga, 300wsm, .308Win, 30-30, 280AI, 7mm08, .270Win, 6.5cm, 25-06Rem, 6mmBR, .223Rem, 22wmr, .22lr, 10mm, 9mm, .357Mag, .38spec, 22wmr, .22lr

[PS - the 280AI is weirdly long because I just got the dies and haven't set it up yet - this is just a 145LRX in an empty brass for the sake of the picture]

I assume the .280AI is a new case which shouldn't need re-sizing since new brass is normally ready to load. As long as it chambers it should be ok and will still look weirdly long. Try re-shooting the pic with the .270 and 25-06 on either side of it.

I wasn't referring to setting up resizing die, I was referring to bullet seating die. For this, I just pushed the bullet down into the new brass enough that it stuck. I didn't bother measuring mag length, my rifle's distance to the lands or look up the SAAMI COL spec. As soon as the pic was taken I pulled the bullet out. When I actually work up a load, I will measure actual distance to lands and subtract 0.050"; and measure max mag length minus 0.010"; and then do initial load development with whichever is shorter. My guess is it will be in the ball park of, but a tad longer than, the .25-06 & .270 given the LRX bullet shape vs the TTSX that are in those.

.300wm, 7mm mag, 30-30, 7-08, .270, .260, 6mm, .223, 5.56, .22-250, .222, .204. 22lr, 17hmr, 9mm, 410, 20, 16, 12, and 10 gauge. 50 cal ML. Used to be a lot more I've thinned the line up since starting a family. Oh yeah and a hoyt carbon spider almost forgot.

It wasn't immediately evident that that's what you were referring to since the case is flanked by 2 considerably shorter cases. It doesn't look that much different from the .25-06 when you compare the position/distance of the cannelure or whatever that groove is to the case mouth.

20 gauge, 12 gauge,.22lr, 6.5 Creedmoor, .270, 7mm-08, .300 wm and a 9mm for self defense!

Now: 5.56, 300BLK, 257Roberts, 7mmWSM, 9mm, 40S&W (pointy stick option-100gr Muzzy Trocar)

Back in the day: 45ACP, 5.56, 7.62, 300 win, .50cal, 40mm, 60mm, 81mm, 107mm, 120mm and the odd rocket or two :p

12 & 20 gauge, .22RF, 38/357, 9 mm, 40 S&W, 44/44 mag., 45ACP, 460 S&W, .223 Rem, 6.5/284, .270 Win, 30-30 Win, 30-06 Springfield, .338 WM, .375 H&H, .375 AI, 45-70 Govt. However, we only hunt with the .338WM (wife’s), and .375 AI (mine)! I hope to do a little hunting with the 460 S&W. We load for everything except the 12 gauge and obviously, the 22RF. memtb

12 gauge, 20 gauge, 300 RUM, 300 WSM, 28 Nosler, 6.5 CM, .223, .22, 9mm.

Those are some great lists above. Next few will be a 30-30, 30-378 or .375 cheytac, and 300 PRC.

I just started hand loading a few seasons ago. I have been prioritizing a move from lead to copper as various hunts come up. So far I have sub-MOA mono hand loads for the 25-06, .270, 7mm08, .308 and 300wsm. Going to work up mono loads for my new 280AI (hopefully .5MOA) and 30-30 (2 lever rifles - not MOA) this spring. Also going to work up sub-0.5 MOA target loads (lead) for the 6.5cm (2 rifles) and the 6mmBR. Handguns and shotguns will be projects for 2021. The goal is to get where you are - hand load everything but rimfire. It has been a fun journey, but definitely not a cost saver for me - but lots of extra shooting and tinkering.
