What are you currently reloading?

I just aquired a custom 7x57 made in Luneburg Germany in August of 1940 by a gunsmith named Willi Karl. I am in the process of acquiring dies as I have powder and bullets I used to load my sons 7mm 08. I wasn’t actually looking for one but it found me and latched on.

I don’t test loads any more, that was done years ago. All I need to do is get the various chamberings of brass lubed and pour them through a Dillon 650. I have enough brass for all my cartridges, I can shoot all spring and summer at varmints, then reload after hunting season and start all over again…

Have you shot any game with those bullets?
No just started testing them out for accuracy, speed and pressure. Basically working up some loads.

Thinking also about trying some AA 1680. I have loaded and killed a couple of deer with WW brass loaded with 25.0gr of H110 and 170gr Hornady sp. 2250fps with 1" groups out of my BCA 16" upper ..

Okay I lied. I got the urge to load up a ladder for 280 Ackley using H4350 and 169 Hammer Hunters. I'm not expecting the speediest boolits, but we'll see. Proof barrels typically run fast.

I tried to find a gif for this, but damn that sounds like a laser

They are smoking coming out of the barrel

Haven’t been reloading since this fall and I’m going crazy about it. Reloading room isn’t heated so it’s nice enough to be out there again. I just agreed to buy a Dillon 550 this week. Picking it up this weekend! I think this will push me to get rid of a few old single stage presses I never set up. Should go nice next to the Co-Ax!

I didn't have a drop tube for load development and RL23 definitely needs a drop tube because it takes up a lot of space. I think that things could go up a touch on the RL23. I may test it more with a droptube later but for now I'll keep using RL26.

RL26 test loads for consistency/accuracy are being loaded this afternoon
