It's called astroturfing and is generally looked down upon by anyone who owns a media platform since the person doing it is essentially stealing bandwidth to promote their own cause.

Meanwhile, the owner of this site spent part of his day pushing back against the 3rd tag grab of the session.
I've always heard that term used to describe a coordinated effort to mask the identity of a person or entity who is pushing an agenda by making that agenda or issue appear to be driven by grassroots support when in reality its not.

This seems related, but different in a few key ways when compared to the definition of the term I've always heard.

You kids and your slang these days. I can’t keep up 🤣

Examples ....
Coach Shaul I’m sorry but I had to add a grip and grin to my tinder prof because I’m tired of matching with the vegetarians and the girls who say things like
“If you have a dead animal in your bio just go ahead and swipe left”
And
“I’m anti 2A, but retweet if you’d shoot a conservative in the head”
I think they see my ski pics and they’re like
“Like omg, he looks so outdoorsy and adventurous. He must be a grad student from Denver”
And then they just break my heart...

Looks awesome. I did a Shrimp Boil last Saturday for my Ducks Unlimited committee. Louisiana seasoning, U12 shrimp, , polish sausage, red taters, corn, mushrooms, onion, thyme, bay leaves, and lots of Busch Light

Shrimp boils are awesome. I usually boil mine in old bay but I had a new Weber kettle and just threw them on it.

How about

1) internet posters that invade forums just for attention and have no discernable objective other than to create noise
2) guys who sell a product called the "Athlete Subscription Package" and then turn around and criticize others for selling or promoting subscriptions services
3) webmasters who seemingly aren't aware the color photos are a technical possibility
4) business owners who have a gear shop, but complain about others having a gear shop
5) anyone whose Medium profile pic involves not one, but two instances, of their own brand (in a gym nonetheless), yet criticizes anyone wearing own-branded gear OR posting training pics

You are free to advocate for wildlife causes, but please cut out the hypocritical nonsense.

Maybe he's right. I hate TV, influencers, and social media sooooo much but the force compelling me to watch and participate is all powerful. Is there a 12 step program or maybe some type of rehab available. Will my government health insurance cover the costs?
