Resident Fees for Western States

Thanks for posting Randy. This is the stuff I like to review, as many places just talk about the Non-Resident rates. At some point in time you will start to price some folks out of the game, but you could quadruple Montana's rate & still pay that. Hell, you can't even get a quarter of a tank of gas for $20!!!!

Me personally, I don't mind modest increase in resident fees, but I believe South Dakota has to inexpensive of deer license fee for NR. I believe it should be increased a bit more at least for a deer license portion for a NR

I pay $335 for WR and $285 for Black Hills. Seems inline with most other western states.

Not sure how accurate the rest of the numbers are, SD resident any deer tag was $35 in 2011. Any elk tag was $155 and antlerless tags were $105. Antlerless deer tags are $15. And no prerequisite licence.
