I bought a hundred 140gr Nosler AB's.. I won't be able to put together my loads but my son's can for me(I'm having surgery)... They are very busy so I am looking to shorten the process for them.. What powders have you guys had the best results. I am looking for best accuracy and decent speed. Not barn burning speed necessarily.. Rifle is a Ruger M77 if that helps..

I have always liked Reloder 22 and IMR 7828 for the 140-grain bullets. I like Reloder 25 and 33 for the 160 Partitions. The 7mag likes lots of different stuff, making it simple to load for.

My Browning XBolt likes Reloader 23 with a 139 gr Barnes LRX. It has a 26” barrel and I’m getting right at 3200 fps.

Boy was my 7mm mag a long time ago. Had great result's with 160gr Speer Hot Core and N-205.

I’ve used both RL 22 and 26. RL26 is like magic fairy dust, it works great, but good luck finding any. I’m shooting Barnes TTSX 150g and RL26 and getting 3150 out of a 26” barrel.

Reloder 26 is even harder to find than 25. I bought a big jug of it, before it got so popular. I use it in my Creed, with Hornady 147s.

I did too, I didn’t think I would ever need 8lbs but sure am glad I have it now. That load I worked up is like a laser beam death ray accurate. Shot a 1.5” group at 400 today.

I have had good luck with Retumbo and RL25 with Accubonds and partitions and RL22 and H4831 with Barnes and Speer.

You guys have peaked my interest with RL26, going to have to try and find some.

With 140's i use RL19, IMR4831, Norma MRP.
RL19, RL22, RL23 for 150gr.
RL26 for everything heavier.
RL25 was fast, but accuracy not anywhere near as good as RL26.

Good luck with your search. It is virtually impossible to find. Great powder in several loads, but really shines in the Creed. THAT is why it is gone.

RL23 is the best I've seen with 140gr bullets.

IMR 7977 is very good with 160-168gr bullets in all of the rifles I've loaded for. It's my go-to powder if others aren't showing promise. The only downside of 7977 is lower velocity compared to RL26 and retumbo. H1000 is also great for this class of bullets.

I like RL26 and IMR8133 with 180vld's. Both powders send the 180's at 3000+ out of 26" barrels. I've been using the RL26 load for 2 years now with great results, and only recently started tinkering with 8133 due to the shortage of RL26. So far (only 50rds tested) 8133 has been just as consistent and accurate but a little dirtier. Velocity difference between the 2 powders is negligible.

With 140s I have had best speed and accuracy with R-22 and R-23.
But I normally load 162gr bullets with the same powders and it works equally well.

RL 22 with the 168s have worked well with my rifle but every rifle is different
