Senate just voted 33-16 to put a referendum on the ballot that would establish annual sessions rather than biennial.

This referundum from a legislative majority that preaches the mantra of less government.:hump: If we are going to govern by referundum, why do we need legislature at all? Hope to see some familiar faces in Helena tomorrow and maybe meet a few new ones.

Greetings all:
For those of you that cannot make the 3:00 pm (s) agriculture, livestock and irrigation committee hearing today for hb 309 in room 3o3 at the capitol – known as the ‘ditch’ bill- please take a few moments to make a call and leave a message.

Even though you may have called or emailed before – we want to flood the switch board today before the hearing – 444-4800 – and tell all members of the committee one or all of the following:

-please - don’t turn our rivers and streams into irrigation ditches
-please – don’t lock us out from our rivers and streams
-please- don’t “privatize” our rivers and streams
-please – keep rivers and streams flowing and public

please vote no on hb 309 0r please vote to table hb309

I think the domestic livestock trailing bill hearing is on 3/10. Another "I'm takin care of my very few friend's very narrow interests" bill from Jeff Wellborn. The sponsor of "lets change the definition of a ditch" and "lets get the public off the Montana Board of Outfitters". Another legislator who doesn't understand the difference between private and public rights and seems to have a mission of pitting the two against eachother.

onpoint, you definitely get it. Now, on to the other, 250,000 sportsman in the state. Think of the power we could wheel, if that would happen. Just a dream, or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.

I shutter ever time I see Ben post something new, under legislative.

are the 2000 NR licenses over and above what we all ready have? HB400

Like the resource can handle it! I know that all the Outfitter tags and landowner sponsor tags. This would be more right? The Wilderness areas are all ready bulging with NR hunters that are with guides.

Thank you sir may I have another, Thank you sir, may I have another, thank you sir, may I have another,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

It would be 2000 MORE NR licenses specifically for wilderness areas. MWF has not taken a position on this one yet, but we will shortly.

Seeker - if it's a revenue bill, then the rules are much different. The only thing limiting them is the calander that lines out when a bill must pass house of origin, I believe.

SB 402 I like though.
