Hunt Talk ideas for the off-season?

Hop on a plane and come over to England, there isn't a month when you cant shoot a deer, sadly no Elk, but no wolves either.
Cheers
Richard

Have Troy put together a how to take better field photos thread. You could start basic and work its way to advanced. You could add in some tips and tricks for Digiscoping.

Off season for me includes lots of gym time, lots of looking at maps/google earth, tinkering around with rifles, hiking, working on outdoor skills, more fishing (commercial) than I'd like to admit, and saving money so I can afford to do what I want to do in the fall.

Now that would be interesting. :D

It could be a rabbit, bird, game head, anything. We could have an online vote for the winner?
There are lots of videos and mounting kits so all anyone would have to do is get some dead animal and have at it. Hell, road kill is even mountable as long as it isn't damged too bad.

Squirrel season is in for a little while longer. I may be able to scrounge one up.

I'd sweep the taxi competition. Lets do it!

Sign me up for the digiscoping, guessing the score, finding the hidden object, and what ever....As for the taxidermy, after seeing what Bambistew can do, I bow out.

I'll be doing the DIY disaster home remodel thing starting mid January.

Family room is going down to the studs. rewiring lighting, new floors, installing a gas fireplace, a black walnut built-in.

Kitchen is going down the studs. rewiring lighting. new floors, reusing cabinets. new granite countertops

If anyone gets bored, come on over.

Hope to be done by mid April, but it will likely be June.

You are a brave man T-Bone. Hope you are still sane by the time you finish.

I recently did all my construction activities for the next twelve months. Took me about three hours yesterday - putting up some 2X4s along my shop walls to hang all my euro mounts. Was time to get them off the floors.

If I have to spend more than $50 at Lowes, it is too complicated for me. That's what Yellow Pages are for.

I admire you and anyone with talent to do the things you are about to embark on.

How about a best of 2011 season by state? Everyone could post under whatever state they took the animal or animals in to showcase how OYO hunters did in different states. Then take a poll on what state produced the animals that an OYO hunter would be happy chasing.

T Bone you will soon learn why people drink;) I just finished building a house and am luckily still married. Too bad Sweetnectar doesn't live close to you, that is what he does for a living (remodels) I personally think anyone who tackles remodels is a little sick in the head but good luck ;):D

All good ideas so far, with the exception of the cage match and the John Burns idea.

Will start some of these ideas after the New Year.

More thoughts?

It will take several months for every Hunttalk member to get on here and publically apologize to Team Triple B for even thinking they could beat us.

You're taking a lot of liberties there. :D I think you need to change your team name to BZZ or something else more appropriate. :)

Hey, Buzz was a free agent, he came to us willingly, he knew what team to be on.

PS I didn't see your apology in the above post:D

Randy,

You could do a seminar at the Montana Bowhunters Association Banquett:)

Jesse called me this morning and asked me. We decided the topic would be, "The absurdity of outdoor TV" or "Clowns in a camouflaged circus" or something similar that would make fun of outdoor TV.

That should be an easy topic for a clown like me. I will be right at home.
