Context: Last weekend we were out scouting and grouse hunting with bows - and passed a few first season rifle hunters that were carrying blow guns (presumably so they could carry their rifles and use the blow gun as a walking stick)
1. I did not know this was a thing (but guess it makes sense! not going to shoot a grouse with my .270)
2. Fast forward to Friday (it was my birthday) and Mr.Ammo got me a blow gun (me: this is a weird birthday present....him: well you're a weird person! ....me: [I can't argue with that logic but still waiting for that nice side-by-side...] )
3. Questions..... Have any of you weirdos actually gotten a grouse with a blow gun? Also we really need to get an elk next weekend to fill the freezer...is the blow gun going to get in the way? I love grouse hunting. I just don't want it to detract from elk hunting.
4. If yes re: grouse with blow gun...will the "broadheads" (metal darts that look pretty weak) with little plastic cones actually kill a grouse or should I possibly invest in a better dart?
