Grouse! Let’s See Them

You need to learn how to throw rocks. You haven't had the primal experience of your life until you have killed one with a rock!
I feel like a 22 pistol (esp suppressed) would be awesome for that. Would love to do it but im always stuck carrying the 10mm in griz country here.
 
Not bad for a 4 month old!! Her first outing in the field on wild birds… It was suppose to be just a walk to burn off some of that vizsla energy but she turned it into a hunt! Her first official point was rewarded with a double! The rest of the walk resulted in a few more opportunities, but I failed her, or didn’t bring enough shells.. either one is true!

Mountain GrouseBlue, ruffed, and Franklin’s grouse may be taken with a shotgun not larger than a 10 gauge; a long, recurve or compound bow and arrow; a crossbow; a firearm; or air rifle: mountain grouse may be taken with an .177 caliber air rifle shooting a performance ballistic alloy pellet at least 1250 feet per second as specified by the manufacturer or with an .22 caliber air rifle shooting a performance ballistic alloy pellet at least 950 feet per second as specified by the manufacturer. All other means of taking are prohibited.Sep. 01 - Jan. 01 Bag Limit: 3 in aggregate daily. Possession limit is four times the daily bag limit.
