I feel like a 22 pistol (esp suppressed) would be awesome for that. Would love to do it but im always stuck carrying the 10mm in griz country here.

Got my first sage grouse today off an absolutely beautiful point by my almost 3 year old GWP, Ada. We saw two large males as well, but they had played the game before and flushed well out of range. Next time.

I continue to find plenty Ruffed Grouse, I found this Blue after a bag limit filled with Ruffs…

Not bad for a 4 month old!! Her first outing in the field on wild birds… It was suppose to be just a walk to burn off some of that vizsla energy but she turned it into a hunt! Her first official point was rewarded with a double! The rest of the walk resulted in a few more opportunities, but I failed her, or didn’t bring enough shells.. either one is true!

We brought more shells today.. a friend and I swatted our limits of sharpies, and 4 Huns to boot!
