Nice try, thats goat country. No way there are sheep there, its only 3.5 miles from a trail head.

Speaking of which how many miles do you guys usually walk on one of these hunts? Just trying to get a feel to see if this is more a beer type hunt or I need to go light and bring the Black Velvet.

All hunts are beer hunts for those man enough.

said, 'bout, geez. And that's way further the 3.5 miles...
Hiking a FS trails do not equal real miles. How far can you actually get away from a road in the BTs? 12 -15 miles and 2-3 without a FS trail? The access there is amazing. Well groomed horse trails, bridges, etc. Rugged.

BTW, I'm just messing with you. :D

Never sheep hunted there but...my goat hunt overlapped some of the Unlimited country. Some was outside Unlimited. Consider these places not to look for sheep as did not glass up one ram and not many goats. User error part of that likely.

That is a side trail which counts as a sidewalk since was not a ledge. When this sort of hiking is the relaxing stretch of the afternoon then you are getting used to the steep stuff.

I see a white spot. Oh, wait, oh. Maybe, that snow blob will grow horns, dang it.

Definitely south of the Unlimited looking north towards more white spots that did not move nor have horns.

Amazing country that can snap your leg or remind you what is actually on top of the wilderness alpha pyramid as you climb around enjoying the views which are memorable. I rarely say once was enough but I can say with no shame once was enough being solo in that country. I am content reading about the adventures going forward. Please take an InReach with you. Also, avoid eating garlic or onions. Just pisses off the bear.
