What would you all think about a Good Guy List? If you have had a positive buy/sell transaction with another member you could add a simple reply to the subject. Maybe @Big Fin could add it to the Buy Sell Trade section?
Example, I have had positive dealings with P-ham, Dave N and several others. I would simply add their name to an original reply and as other positive transactions with others happen I would simply go to my original reply and edit the post to include the name of new positive member.

I’m into it. I’ve bought and sold on this site and think that’s a good idea.

And what if you add a person and they are hacked in the future?

I would suggest that you still do your standard protocol for qualifying a transaction. Personally I have never done a transaction here without having an actual conversation with the other member. I'll also say that something is better than nothing.

You list them as a good guy and someone buys based on that and it was a scam. The original HT was hacked and the hacker was using the good guy status you gave them to take advantage of another member.
That happened to me. Good guy in good standings, then bought something he posted for sale, and it turns out he was hacked recently...

Dunno. It would probably happen list or no list. I still think something is better than nothing. Just because there's a good guy list doesn't make it gospel.
I've since seen it in FB groups where in order to post an ad, one of the pics has to include their name and the current date. It prevents people from pulling a pic and selling something they don't have. It'd help, it's not fool proof, but it's a step in the right direction.

Dunno. I've never seen one but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It would be easier to use if it was a part of the classified section. I
Well let's restart it. I know you and I are white listed from our transaction a few months ago.

Maybe instead just use people you’ve bought or sold to as references for future transactions? It’s an extra step but easier than trying to maintain a list. Whatever works best though.

I think you missed it. There's no list to maintain. You would post the name of the person you dealt with. Any future deals with other people, you would go to your original post and edit in another name.

Sounds like your committed to this so do what you want. I really don’t see the point since as you stated will still have to do due diligence. Also people will have to remember to go back and update the list/post. I view this as maintaining.

Like I said do what you want

And so speaks the member who's been here almost a month. Nobody is twisting your arm. If you don't like it, don't do it. It's easy as that. Besides, Big Fin would have to approve it and set it up.
