Dave N Elk tag fund raiser

Yeah, that would be more like hunting practice. I was just trying to get my new scope dialed in before doing much. Think I'll get another backstop made at 200 yards and see where I'm at. Wind picks back up tomorrow.
Not even that, I've always been more solid shooting prone then off a bench myself.

Once I start shooting more I can decide on a zero for the yardage I like best for actually hunting regarding bullet drop. Tough for an Illinois deer hunter to get used to shooting 200 plus! :ROFLMAO:
Dave, have confidence in yourself, I have seen you neck shoot a small roe buck off tall sticks at around 180 yards.
In any case best of luck on your hunt.
Cheers
Richard

Thank you, my friend! Good to hear from you again! I think it was more like 130 but who's counting? ;)

Gonna be a bit before I get any more shooting in. This wind is terrible. Need to set up my backstops at 200 and 300 yet. More ammo arrives today and will try to get dialed in a little better before trying the handloads I've been sent.

We have that wind you’re complaining about, it brought snow with it.

Fingers crossed the blind is still there in the morning for the kids and I. That would be one disappointing hike in with kids.

A heated blind sounds like cheating! ;) Not going to miss leaning back against that Hickory tree tomorrow.

So is a cow elk doable Dave? I can probably get you one with minimal trouble on an OTC Idaho tag come Dec. 10th when they go on sale. I also have free packers and/or if you wanted to do a Pack Goat backcountry trip? Up to you,
Matt
I think we're pretty well set for Wyoming next year. Thanks for the offer.

Weather warms up this weekend and since I'm not deer hunting I think it's a good time to get my 2 and 300 yard backstops set up. Probably won't do any shooting because of the wind but I'll be ready for later. Need to get 'er done before spring when I have to get things taken out for farming.
