2025-26 Season plans?

25 is going to be busy for me! I already have arguably best general elk tag and deer tag in neighboring state on top of my resident tags here. I am due to draw something good in app season but primary focus will be on guests. Will have 3-5 family members drawing general tags this year, will have to focus efforts on filling their tags. I am still in waiting periods in 2 states for antelope so likely will not start hunts till sept archery elk. Still got more to tag this season and spring chaos to deal with before I worry about it to much.

So last year during my ak trip I found out that someone had turned in a late season az bull tag and I posted about it saying I had a few days to decide what to do. In that time someone on here snitched to my wife about it. Still not sure who but anyways as far a sneak preview for 25 on ht from me is concerned……… Not happening

Son in law and I will walk the haul road looking for a caribou when he gets time off.
Blacktails and bears and fishes on POW island if stars align.
Moose and wolves and bears behind the house in September.
Deep sea fishing off of Guadeloupe or Hawaii, haven’t decided yet.
I have no points anywhere.

Bow hunting/rifle whitetail in WV.
WV turkey in the spring
CO elk points
WY elk points
MT elk points
PA elk points (which honestly is a shot in the dark but relatively cheap compared to western states)

I wouldn't be opposed to trying for point for mule deer either. I've never mule deer hunted but after going to CO for elk this year, we saw quite a few and it intrigued me.
Not so fast on the cheap pa.elk application. I just the other day watched the pa.game commission meeting and a proposal that passed the committee was for residents and NON Residents purchase a hunting license before applying for the elk draw.the proposal still has to be approved by the full commission at another meeting. I believe the non resident license is still $110.00 that would need to be purchased if this proposal passes. Oh and the other part of the proposal was to limit Non Resident to no more than 10% of available tags.

Sounds like you need to change your username brotha…

Things change rapidly with hunting plans.

Early September Yukon for mountain caribou, grizzly, with outside chance at black bear, wolf, and wolverine.

Other for sures:

Wyoming: elk, deer, pronghorn.
Montana: elk, deer.
Arizona: coues.
Kodiak: fishing

I think I'm probably going to be pretty much points only for most other elk, deer, and pronghorn tags or very long shot stuff.

Will apply with hopes of drawing sheep, moose, or goat in the rest of the states I'm eligible. Been crossing a few off the list since I've drawn.

Most likely will have family draw something good, seems every year I'm helping one of them with a good tag.

I have 2 points in Kansas for Whitetails. Should draw a December rifle tag. Already have a place to hunt. June - Quebec walleyes with the guys. August - Quebec walleyes with my wife. Late September - DIY waterfowl in Saskatchewan. Whitetails in Vt. and NY muzzle loader and rifle seasons. Exploring April turkeys somewhere.

2025 will just be local deer (possibly a trip to KY for their rifle season) but 2026 looks like my first attempt at a speed goat
