OK I need to get this off my chest and I thought this is the right place. I grew up in the midwest and winter has never really bothered me. For some reason this year it cant get over soon enough. Everyday when I pull in the garage after work my boat is staring me right in the face saying come on damn it when are we going out.

Heres my remedy for the weekend. Im gonna go stay at my trailer in wisconsin, have a few stiff drinks while I change line on all my rods. and organize my tackle box.

Thanks for listening.

That only works if you tow your boat there and sit in a fishing seat while you do it. Otherwise when you get back home and pull into your garage……..your boat will be looking at you saying…..hey A-hole, you couldn't have brought me along.

Can I piggy back on to this...??

Begin Rant.

If its cold enough outside that with my heat All the way up, I can only get my Apartment to 65 Degrees... Its TOO Flippin COLD! Thank you apartment complex folks for Cutting costs on Insulation!!! Its Montana for crying out loud, It Gets Cold! Insulate the frikkin buildings so that we can be comfortable at -20!

End Rant.

You got ice fishing, right? Then, you can think about a winter time trip south to fish. Like this weekend in Corpus Christi at the coast the forecast is:

Sat Feb 8 62° 49° AM Clouds / PM Sun Chance of rain: 10% Wind: ENE at 7 mph

Sun Feb 9 70° 57° Partly Cloudy Chance of rain: 10% Wind: SSE

EODray your right, my boat would be ticked off. And yes my dog never stays home. My wifes dog also gets ticked off because if momma stays home, her dog also stays home. Bailey (the wifes dog) stops eating until I get home with Drake(my dog).

I'm so ready for it to be over I started looking at the average temps and imagining if it was really that warm... the average for right now is 44. I did make it ice fishing last weekend and that took the sting off a little.

I checked temps around Central and South America yesterday and it was 97 in Rio. Didn't make me feel any warmer as I sat around fully dressed and wearing my military poly long johns.

It could be a while before we are planting gardens here too.
Been 30 below the past couple mornings. Once it got up to about 10 below for the day we cut a load of wood then the boys went and checked traps. 5 or 10 above would feel downright cozy after this little cold snap. At least the snakes are out of the picture for a while!
