This bull I logged in 5 days 90 miles on Horseback and Afoot before I got a shot.

But I was in on my dad's bull.

And My Brother in law killed a nice bull that year as well

2011 Wyoming. We moved spots after 7 good years. Had to learn a new area. Did a 4th of July trip with the family and spent a couple days scouting the country in the summer. Shot the first legal bull I saw. Another hunt with Dad by my side when i shot him.

2012 Wyoming. Went back to the same spot. Opening day First Legal bull...

and the shortest hunt ever.

After 2 years of not drawing Elk in 2013, then a total Skunk in 2014 (in a new part of the unit) 2015 was the first year in a long time My Dad uncle and I all tagged out on elk.

2016 I applied for New Mexico elk on a whim. Oh heck! I drew...

I really missed my Dad and Uncle on this hunt. They were hunting Mule Deer in Nevada during it. I missed a bigger bull, and this poor lil' bugger got the frustration of that and other external factors taken out on him.

i can honestly say I would love a do over for this hunt, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
