Doubt this will impact agencies...

I'm wondering if a bunch of people take this supposed early out deal...what kind of an idiot would take a job promotion that put them back in a probationary period?

Who are they going to get to lead and take management positions with Federal Land Management Agencies?

I'm also wondering where people are going to work since we just went through "smart sizing" our Government office footprint?

This is funny.

I just thought about this....I hope to retire...in about 7 months. If I worked for the feds, it would be like a bonus to retire early at the same time I was going to anyway!

What a deal! Gotta be tens of thousands if not more federal employees in the same position ...

Oh, come on now, you're not a Fed? Really?

Seriously though, ya’ll think this policy is just targeting Jerome Powell so they can get him out and force interest rates to an all time low?

I personally can’t swing 4.5% to finance my egg consumption.
I’ll owner finance my Covid chickens to you… 3.5%, but those are friends/family prices.

I remember the last buyout for the Forest Service. Everyone that was getting ready to retire put in for the buyout. Everyone that had already put in for retirement withdrew their retirement requests and put in for the buyout. Got an extra $25,000 for their retirement party.

Really saved a lot of money for the government.

What I thought was really funny about that buyout for the Forest Service was that six months later a bunch of the guys and gals that took the buyout were back at work, at their old desk, doing the same job they left, only as private contractors making twice the money they were making as government employees. All while collecting their retirement.
