Timing is everything. My son found this on our place 20 yards from the tree stand a friend used last fall. I had a general tag last year and was busy with my moose hunt. I never ventured in to this stand at all last year.

Don't have pics to share but my nephew is in south central IA shed hunting. Yesterday was first day and he and his buddy found 8 decent sized dead head bucks and only a couple sheds.
Must have had some serious EHD in that locale last summer? Also explains why we didn't see many quality bucks hunting there last fall.
