As Bigjay said, here in Colorado. They're one of my favorite fish to catch, but we are very bad at catching them intentionally.

I managed to catch a non-windy morning on the Snake River in the kayak the other day.



Didn't find any bigguns, but I'll wrestle these fellers with the ultralight rod any day.

Switched it up from high country trout to some warm water action. I don't keep many fish, but these two got invited to breakfast.

Took advantage of a cloudy and cooler morning and took my kayak to a lake that is currently closed to motor boats due to a water release. This lake is normally a good/great walleye spot but this year it's been poor for some reason. But there was a good bass bite with some good sized fish, had a great time. Tossed back a smaller fish early, then caught 4 in the 2-3 lb range, the largemouth was 3 lbs. Near end of trip I lost a bigger fish, but it didn't spoil my mood. Every fish fought hard and jumped at least once, always fun.

Started working on the native fish slam in Nevada. Caught a redband trout to start it off.
