Catch All Fishing Thread

Fishing this spring.. Got out five days. I lost one really big fish, I don't know if it was a pike, walleye, bass or what.

Took advantage of a cloudy and cooler morning and took my kayak to a lake that is currently closed to motor boats due to a water release. This lake is normally a good/great walleye spot but this year it's been poor for some reason. But there was a good bass bite with some good sized fish, had a great time. Tossed back a smaller fish early, then caught 4 in the 2-3 lb range, the largemouth was 3 lbs. Near end of trip I lost a bigger fish, but it didn't spoil my mood. Every fish fought hard and jumped at least once, always fun.

Did a SW Michigan weekend with some buddies. Boated 8 varieties of fish. Caught my first pike ever (just under 33in) and first cohos.

Few days later went on freezer filling catfish run. Took some homemade elk brats, camp stove, cast iron, and fish fry supplies. Didn’t catch a ton of fish but had a ton of fun. Took his 4 year old daughter and she had a blast. Landed a 4lb channel cat on her own with a crappie rod. She ate her weight in fried fish too.

Hi myself, haven’t had a chance to do much fishing but my 4 1/2 year-old little girl caught some stud bluegill the other day and it just so happened to be her first fish and boy was she excited she’s hooked now that’s all she talks about
