ugly duckling

hey guys,its the bow range that is open,i will try to go this week,i am still sick wiyh the flu,hopefuly over soon,i went to a deer antlers contest this weekend,man i saw some nice racks,one monster nine point[that happened to be in my catergory]was shot in minto what an ugly rack but huge i will post some pictures it scored 157 boone and crocket masive antlers,

Nice set of racks there ben, How is everyone doing back home and how is the weather been.Here it is cold and snowing off and on. Dave next time you get a chance and you hook up with your brother at the camp there, Can you ask him if he still has double prints of our fishing trip. I like to add them to my album here. And you never set a date yet for your trip here. This weekend is it for me for hunting deer,I need to try to take two more for me and my other daugher as well.Alot of deer signs when I was out there this past monday after the snow stop for a day.I miss the camp already , I can fore-c myself buying/building my own camp out in the middle of no where. Once I find a no where to build *LOL*. I miss the deal at wal-mart for arrows this year, they was $2 a arrow that are top of the line I guess. They was call wolverine carbon arrows.Tell your son they are around $32 a dozen at bass-pro here (give or take).What else is new here hummmm guess that be it. I will get the game cam back out in a couple weeks and allso get out and set up at least three ground blinds for turkey/deer incase of the wind direction. O try to think what you might want to get at bass-pro if it goes on sale. I will go down and pick up all the catalog when they come out and mail them to you.Well guys I don't know what else to say so I will say good night for now.

Good Luck on the last of the hunt Trent. Hey Bruce, I see they built you a nice big 'Tims' on Hanwell Road, must be alot of coffee drinkers out your way. I'll meet you there some evening after Xmas ( exchange lies and such, ha). Take care down there in Westmoreland County (??) Ben, it always seems it snows more down there than anywhere else. Hey mooseheadred I will be off work from Dec. 24 and I don't go back till Jan. 3rd. So pick a day and we will see you at Tims. I also noticed they close the Tims accross from Deluxe French Fries on Prospect street.

Evening guys , just got my tummy filled.I was out from noon til dark and for the first time in history I shot at a doe and miss her clean tonight.I never miss a deer with a gun until tonight.Thing that sucks about it was at the time I didn't know I miss for sure so I wait til amost dark. and 18 minutes after I shot I look and here comes another doe and kid. She left me great shot but I had a tag for there and another unit right beside this.Soo I figure I better not take the chance and shoot and have to down. So I pass her up and after the fact kick my butt for doing so *LOL*. "Hey what do you do".I allso see that the fox I been watching came by and was limping realy bad. Could not stand on its front right paw. Well I got tommorrow afternoon off as well. Sunday night is going to be it for me, time to clean my guns and relax. Well that be it for now take care and stay safe. hope you are getting better ben, later.

where is everyone

Whats going on, We all getting busy on me and hanging lights & shopping Well I went out today and was there most of the day. Around 10:45am my feet was way froze from sitting so I lowered the gun and while I was climbing down I look up and coming down the hill was a doe.I just stop and watch as she never even stop til she was out of site. She ran right pass me and there was nothing I could do. After the fact I pull my gun back up and waited for 20 minutes to see if there was any more to come. After that I got down and went to daughter house and took off my boots and place foot warmers in them.After I talk for a few I got back out at 11:30 and was set til dark. Around 12:43 here comes another doe and her mistake was she was not on the run and was moving fast but stoping now and again. She came right in front of me and I gave a blat which stop her long enought for my 20 guage to bark. down she went and I sat there waiting to see if a buck/doe would come by . Next thing I new I look up and the doe (After two hours gone by) Was trying to get up.I had no shot cause there was too many tree's . So I climb down and put another one in her. Then I went to the truck (Where I left the knife) and came back and drug her off to the side and started to clean her and half way threw I look up and here comes a big doe and kid. I reach for the gun and they was to far off with to many tree's . But then they stop all the sudden and act strange. Then it hit me they was looking at my tree stand and didn't know if they dare to go by so I was sitting waiting and hoping they turn and come my way but the doe got brave and went on.So here is a couple of pics to share with everyone.I got to get my cloths clean and ready for tomorrow hunt and then that be it. Get one for he other daughter and my hunting is over.

Waiting pays off and they are traveling mid day. I'm thinking when most hunters go back to the house for lunch and return back into the woods later they are either pushing them my way when the leave/return. which I don't mine .

I got another doe and while I was cleaning her I herd some noise and look up just in time to see 8 deer running across the field. I figure they seen me and bolt.Any ways here is the last for this year---->

here are a few tracks that been by the stand I been hunting from archery and shot gun. And they seem to be traveling at night after I leave. Going to wait a week and all hunting is done for that unit. And going to put the game cam out to see what made it threw the season. I'm more excite to see whats out there after the fact.

wow how did you do that ben, Hope that you are as fast healer.I don't like crowds that much so I don't join in events.So when the weather gets warmer I be out in the field practing.still no snow , it is snowing here as I type.I wish we can by pass the white stuff.But it is here to stay for a few months and what makes it hard is it is so dark so early.Feel like going to bed but it is only 6pm right now. So I guess I will do some work around the house and maybe go out to take the bottles back.Have a good one everyone, and stay safe.

Broken Bones

Hey Guys ,i Was Doing Some Welding This Weekend On A Trailer, I Hit The Weld To Tight The Seam And There Was A Sleel Bar Leaning On The Trailer The Vibration Shook It Down And On My Hand,just Broke The Bone On The Side Of The Hand Past The Pinky Finger,will Heal Well But Screws My Playing Hockey And Shooting Bow For A While
