Building Backcountry meat poles in bear country

I like it, the reality checks I see are having proper poles available, and you need a saw or ax to really cut to size so unless you're like @wllm and always carry a tactical hatchet might have to improvise. Also seems like they often die just before dark, not sure I'd want to try to set up in the dark, but it seems like a worthwhile method to keep in mind if the situation is right.

How do you keep your meat out of the reach of grizzlies in the backcountry after you've field dressed the carcass and are making more than 1 trip out?

Is this a realistic method?
I feel like an incredible idiot for not thinking of this before. Two years ago I literally trying to build a long ass level arm, that failed (I blame faulty materials), then a ladder to build a platform. this would have been way easier, faster, and more effective. lodgepole forest is definitely the best area to implement.
