Bozeman: is it really that bad anymore?

I'd agree with you guys about Big Sky being a blight if I weren't so hopelessly addicted to skiing the steeps off Lone Peak. It's kind of my reason for living.

Climbed Ramshorn Peak a couple weeks ago just north of the park and saw black bears, mountain goats, and then the craziest thing happened, as we were watching six bighorn sheep in the basin below us just a few hundred yards from the peak, four wolves came over the ridge behind them and gave chase. Two light gray and two black wolves. The sheep made a break for it and scattered into the cliffs, all except for one that got off track and tried to traverse apart from the others...the wolves followed that one until they were all out of sight. Pretty damn cool and unusual to see wolves in the alpine like that. It all happened close enough to Bozeman to give the town some credit for its undeniably prime location.
Just great. Nice job. Now everyone from hunttalk.com is going to move there. 😁

I drove through this morning. It seems like the SLBDSC was on Main Street, stopping at or refusing to go at every green light from the interstate to Gallatin Canyon and when they were going, were struggling to hit 20mph.

Niece just accepted to med school there, might have to visit to find out for myself. Been close to 40 years, expect things ain't the same as the neat town I remembered!

Get your tote’s ready Bozeman

Ah reminds of my days in massachusetts. Good time.

Get rid of paper bags and stop killing trees. Then get rid of plastic bags because we are killing the environment. So everyone ran out and got cloth bags. Ban cloth bags because the covid germscould be on them, so back to plastic bags. I'm sure they are banned again.

Some serious first world problem solving right there.

Its taken me awhile, but went thru Bozeman about 5 weeks ago. In 2 years, the growth is incredible. Now, from 4 corners to main street downtown is decorating shops, women's clothes, blah blah blah. You can have it. Went in to Schnees for bino accessories. Great guys at the firearm area. Extremely helpful. Sho enuf, on Main Street, was a bum out actibg crazy. You can have Bozeman. Went to Townsend. Very nice people & town. Too many Libs for me.

How do you know who is a lib, and who is not? Did you ask people on the street?
Or did you just assume, you know, profile?

Hem, contrary to best hopes, it's not infectious
Makes no difference to me.
Bozeman has plenty of conservatives, well-to-do urban transplants. Townsend is conservative, like most small Montana towns. Make up is not so well-to-do rural natives.
Who has the better quality of life? Guess that depends on ones priorities.
Townsend area has more vulgar Trump signs, maybe that's it.🤣
