2013 Mule Deer, WY, 6.5x47L, 139 scenar, 75 yds., +- 180 gross. First year in WY, went deep, glassed hard, and made a long stalk to kill this buck.
2014 Bear, WY, 6.5x47L, 139 scenar, 75 yds. Started at 2pm and still made it out by dark, the only bear hunt where I recall walking out in the daylight and not crossing a "creek".
2014 Elk, WY, 6.5x47L, 139 scenar, 75 yds, 6 miles in and up. Earned this bull the year before while getting to know the high country.
2014 was very good to me with two new additions. 299" elk with my bow and a 180 muley with rifle. I'm sure I'll eat a pile of tag soup for the next few years.
Managed to raise the bar a little in the archery mule deer category this year.... I have only taken a couple so it doesn't take a lot to top my list here, but this one was pretty unique. Don't have a clue what he scores as I am not good at math or following directions..... has 9 points on the passenger side with double main beams.
My best bull to date. October of 2012. This was a hunt with my Dad, LE tag. Shot him on the 4th day. I had never passed up a legal bull in my life until this hunt.
This is my all time favorite thread. At just under 31 outside and 197 total inches this buck from 2010 is both the widest and has the highest number of inches of any buck I have ever taken. Not my favorite hunt
