    Archery sights with rangefinder?

Where do we draw the line on what we allow in our hunting seasons in regard to technology? I Personally think that electronics shouldn't be allowed on a hunting bow. I also think that lighted nocks are an exception to this rule due to them not aiding the shooter in making a shot.

    Idaho ML bullet

I've had great success with the great plains by Hornady. I use them out of my inlines and my Hawken and have no issues with accuracy. Maxi balls and all lead power belts are good options as well.

    Elk Rifle

Bell and Carlson make a great fiberglass stock for the Tikkas that feel much nicer than the factory stock.

    Long-range Muzzleloaders

Practice, practice, practice. With the recent change in regulations regarding optics on muzzleloaders in Utah there seems to be more and more media advocating for "long Range" muzzleloaders with adjustable turret style peep sights. There are way too many people trying to get rifle distances out...

    Elk Rifle

Hard to beat the Tikka T3X superlights. I own one in 7mm rem mag and have had the pleasure to shoot the same gun in many other calibers (308, 300 win, 270, 7mm-08). Every one of them shot under an inch @100 yards no problem. Just be sure to use a good piece of glass and you will be more than...

That is with very little ice though on close to home hunts, go bigger on longer hunts!

    Coolers

I use Cordova coolers. They are made in Idaho and have great customer service. I use the 88 quart for most hunts and have fit deboned elk in it without issues.

    Tripod head

Tricer makes some amazing tripods and heads. If you want super lightweight, then the smaller Tricer head is fantastic. I personally use a Sirui VA-5X head. it's not an ultralight head but is extremely fluid and stays put when you lock it in.

Deer hunting the Oregon side of the Snake River.

I drew the same tag this year and have many hours of e-scouting and research on this unit. I now live in Montana and was hoping to get some information on habitat and general elevations you were seeing deer at. I'm not looking for spots or your honey holes but just some general information. I...
