Sitting in Joburg and waiting on my first long haul flight and wondering how the elk are doing. Thought I'd post a little about the trip and some shots. Spent two weeks in Mozambique, followed by one in Namibia, and a final in South Africa. I had every experience I had hoped for and wrapped three of my Dangerous 7 and my first Big 5. So much to reflect on and more stories to write. As a shameless plug you can view much more on my Insta.

By the numbers:
30- Days in country.
6- Countries visited.
15- Species added to the life list.
329- Longest shot, yards, on a kudu bull.
40- Shortest shot, yards, blue wildebeest bull.
13.5- Feet of Nile Croc I held up.
27- Hours of flights to get to the first camp.
65- Number of Mozambican metical to the dollar.
2- Exchange rate of bunches of bananas to 10 pound hunk of buffalo meat.
72- Hours needed to catch one Tigerfish.
.10- Seconds needed to decide I wanted an ostrich when I first saw it.
1- Rhino butt's slapped.
2- Extra bags coming back with me.
10- Distance in feet my buffalo charged before turning.
92- Birds new to me.
12- Pairs of socks brought
4- Actual pair of socks worn.
32- Pages of notes taken.
2- Times I narrowly missed death.

Wow! Four weeks - Amazing!

3 days and counting. Though hunting less than a week. Partner's looking to gain a warthog. That hog has some great tusk features!
Rhino butt's slapped? Story, do tell! Haha!
Oh and the narrow death escape. ;) sounds like one heck of a series of adventures.

Grats on your four week excursion!
