I use a variable , 3x-9x leupold , and basically use the 3x when in the trees and the 9x when in the open. I have several leupold scopes / binos and they are a great product. I know there are products with better glass that cost a lot more but leupold is a fine for hunting.
I use a mummy when backpacking but a 'alaskan sleeping bag company' full size bag when I don't have to carry it up mountains. Get one from a company that features camping items and get one warmer than you think you need.

in my calling , they come from downwind , sometimes they come running across a field and sometimes they come out of the trees close to the call. My call is placed downwind from me and I am positioned in a spot where I have good visibility and cover. I usually stay in one spot for at least 1/2...
