Your OCD Curse

My OCD curse is without a doubt the sound of rattles and squeaks that I pick up from mostly the vehicles I drive. My dear old dad would tell me I need to turn up the radio to resolve them, but that approach never had a chance. Thankfully, we now have the Internet and social media forums where we can seek solace and advice from others who share the same mental disorder. After doing just that, I was finally able to resolve a squeak in the rear brakes of old 2010 Tacoma (222K miles) and must admit the source was something that I suspected but for some odd reason refused to address. (Who knows, perhaps not following your gut is another disorder many of us probably share.) I could only hear the squeak when releasing the brake pedal. Anyway, should have followed my gut and applied a little brake grease to the areas where the shoes rest against the backplate.

Dash rattles are another trigger for those who suffer from this affliction.

'99 F350, 450,000 miles and not a creak, groan or squeak.
2020 F150 and the plastic, fake vinyl, snap together interior squeaks like an old house. And, if I wear my shoes when blowing the excess water off the windows at the car wash, the right foot squeaks on the brake pedal. Doesn't matter if the car wash concrete pad is wet or dry. Doesn't happen anywhere else.

I found the solution to all rattles, squeaks, etc is to always keep the radio on max. Problem solved.

cleaning guns and equipment. I cannot put a gun away even if it only has one round through it. Guns have to stored in safe largest to smallest caliber, same as ammo. Hunting gear has to be on hangers, all things must face same direction in closet, sorted by season and use.

I hate the sound of pouring a drink of something. Especially pouring from a wine bottle. If I'm in a bad mood and hear that it takes all my energy to not throw the glass. Haha
