What about water filtration? Katadyn Base Camp Pro 10L Water Filter, our go to. Need an extra jug for filtered water to collect in.

"six solar lights", over the years, I seen this once. Solo guy, big wall tent camp, Tiki solar lights everywhere, Crazy cool dude. We use headlamps.

I have a platy pus filtration ??? Is that too small ? I have headlights also , but around camp it seems like solar lights would work better ?

I run 2 little collapsible solar lanterns so far so good

That was exactly my thought a quarter can be around 130# I’d also suggest patience and calling to the landing strip we shon my first one half mile out and my buddies about 200 yards out is highly recommended the 200 yards out

I need clean drinking water, coffee, ramen, cooking doesn't matter, what ever filtration, works for drinking water. Solar lights could work, never found a need for them at home, or hunting Alaska. I'm mostly in the tent at night.

I totally agree having an actual hunting thread, but the problem lies with everyone on here. All the political threads seem to blow up and receive the most messages (and the meme threads). Some will post about hunts and share a paragraph with a bunch of pictures bragging about there success. I believe that the old grumpy alcholic edward abbey (who was a miserable drunk but incredible prose writer) could post a story here and it wouldn't get the attention the political threads get. Personnally i dont care for the bragging "board" of pictures unless it comes with a personal story of your hunt. This is a forum of hunting stories. Peoples challenge to achieve goals. Every picture has a story that should be beyond.......got with in two hundred and fifty yards and look at all I killed. The stories of all of you sharing a hunt (the camp, the challenge to make it happen, the bond with family and friends, to the success or failure of someone chasing a dream) from a cow elk to a 480 inch carribou, are so much better than your personal political views or personal kill pictures without a story. And i understand, because I have posted picts, but I try to share a story of the hunt. And my story telling might horrible but I try my best to relate to a hunting forum, because I love reading about the hunts you all have had.

Well said ! I feel the same way about the political posts , although I am guilty of posting in the meme thread or the humor thread , I don't care to share my political views here . I post in the funny stuff purely for the forum , clicks equal volume and volume is what makes the money , or am I wrong ?
Also , I hunt for my enjoyment , not to be able to post a "cool" story . Some of these guys put more work in telling the story than they did for the hunt , or so it seems .
But , to each their own . Whatever floats your boat , post what you want , I will not get butt hurt , it's not my forum .

I read to learn here , I want to hear about techniques and what works or don't .
I am not the great white hunter , never will be , but I enjoy it , so I do it , simple . Actually my not knowing keeps me from posting more , not wanting to expose my ignorance .
I am guilty of reading the political stuff , just because it amuses me to hear the stuff some o these guys post . It's painfully obvious who watches Fox news or gets their info from podcasts . I laugh out loud at some of the stuff posted here , and they think they're the one informed .

ordered a 354 casul, with 360 grain buffalo bore. Being shipped from Idaho to Fairbanks. Love those semiautos but revovlers don't jam. Give up the quantity of rounds for big rounds, I dont even think I could get off 5 rounds from the revovler let alone empty a 15 round mag in a charging brown bear!
