I haven't posted any art for a while, so it's about time for a little show. However, this isn't my work, rather it's the work of my own children. What can I say, I'm proud of my kids. After looking at their artwork I think you will see why. So here's a little something different to light up your day.

First up here's a crazy painting/drawing from my oldest daughter who is a junior in high school. If you look close there are all kinds of symbols and designs hidden in the rhino.

Next up my youngest daughter who is in the 8th grade is a horse fanatic. She rides several times a week and is more than a little obsessed with horses. I'm surprised she chose to draw a thorough bred race horse, but I guess any horse is a good horse in her eyes.

So yesterday I asked my youngest son (age 11 in the 6th grade) if he would draw some Halloween pictures on my white board. He had no pre-planning time. He just jumps right up and whips these out in 45 minutes. He did all of this out of head without a reference. To be honest, I don't think I could draw this well with no forethought and nothing to look at.

After he finished the headless horseman he asked if he could use more of the board. I told him to use all he wanted. So in addition he drew this. Remember he's only 11 years old and created this and the headless horseman all in one 45 minute class period. These were all drawn very near to life-sized as well. Freaking amazing!

Love the rhino!

ALL of the drawings are amazing.

That stuff on the whiteboard is pretty incredible.

They are very talented kids, good job Dad!

Your son may be watching more Scobey-Doo than you realize. Thanks for the artistic share.

Kansasdad, I see you have watched a few episodes yourself if you recognize the style of his artwork. Yup, he loves Scooby Doo. He's pretty good at other things as well like this drawing he free-handed last month.
