I picked that up listening to the youtube season setting meetings for the Laramie region. It's also in the regs. Thanks for the education gentlemen. Sorry about that Bob!
if you had read my previous posts you would know im 69, old fat and tired...be careful what you write to old people, you about gave me another heart attack...i dont have room for anymore stents!!!! anyway you owe me a beer, hopefully i can collect it in the rustic on oct 2...it would have been a huge burden to cross the valley to 38 haha...thanks for your postsHunting in 41 won’t do you much good with a 38 tag in your pocket…they are separate areas this year.
Plenty of cow moose, just look close for a calf first.
no way!!! i love the resource....if i have to come home empty it dont matterPlease, please, please! Don't be the guy who kills two moose. Don't shoot the mamas!
Good luck with your tag and keep us posted!!!
man i get it...my wife has killed ant, deer, elk, and oryx, but since we got grandkids i dont listen to her anymore...the truth is no longer on her lips...you gotta make your own way...its hell getting oldI’m gonna blame Pam. She mentioned that the three areas had been busted up. Obviously she meant for bulls. I just need to learn how to read.
Great picsCouple trail cam pics. Maybe he doesn't have the makings of a big bull like I said before. Hope to bump into him this year, he's just cool and he was pretty patterned in the past. Also, couple of bonus bears from the same spot.

This guy wandered through our camp about 25 yards from the cookhouse in southern Wyoming a couple of years ago. He was pretty docile, but the cow and calf that showed up later made late-night restroom runs a little more interesting.
Same general vicinity but we were on the other side of the Medicine Bows.Howdy Shelltowee,
I found a bull right off hwy 230 2 mile W of Woods Landing that lookedView attachment 331351 similar to this bull. Was yours near there? Icould never get a clear view (or archery shot) though. Ended up taking mine off of Jelm
PICS!hey gowyo you were right but in a different way about about a having a 38 tag wouldnt work in 41....didnt see a track in 41...the best advice i got on this forum was to ask hunters in the field...moved camp to sw of fox park....only met 1 hunter with a moose tag...met some GREAT people....met an older couple with elk tag that would look us up to report on on moose, we met them on the road one day and they took us to a cow they had seen, shot her 50 yds off the road ...reloaded 150 gr 7 mag hornady cx solids for this trip...1st shot was perfect behind the shoulder trying to save meat, she stood a minute and laid down, i put my gun in the back seat and were waiting for her to bleed out...one of the affore mentioned people walked toward her and she got up again...i put 2 more in again before she finally laid down....could see hair and tissue flying behind her after every shot...when we skinned her you could put your 3 middle fingers in the grouping ...still havent made my mind up on the solids....any way i dislocated the peroneal tendons on my right foot which my dr in lubbock confirmed today...had a great time at the rustic in saratoga...got home 700 miles with cold boneless meat, will butcher sat... saw 2 to 1 bulls/cows will send pics when i get them....thanks to all on this forum yall really helped a bunch...adios from new mexico
if you cant eat a little blood with your meat you cant get the real taste except chicken...got all the steaks wrapped and frozen...freezing all the rest to grind as it thaws...got a bunch of chicken fried steaks run thru the tenderizer....the meat is clean and lean, you cant smell it while cutting....the foot is no big deal, ive had my left one cut for the same reasonCongrats Bob! Sorry to hear about the foot! Enjoy that meat!! Don’t overcook it!
