Hilarious.

Ever been to the NE corner of SD in the winter? That's fishing pressure.

Kidding, I support this proposal. I've seen what's happened in Colorado, takes some of the shine off of the experience at times.
There was all kinds of buzz about CPW doing this on the Upper C the other year when the manager changed over, but it's still a carnival up there.

With growing populations of river users in the West, especially within a relatively easy drive of millions of people, IMO these kinds of restrictions should be more prevalent. Sad, but the growing population is simply a fact and some of these places just can't support the level of pressure.

Experiential downside - I hope they don't go to the level of granularity like BC where for unguided NR's and NR Aliens, the permits are day/water specific and HIGHLY limited in number. Which bites me most summers. I haven't been able to fish Michel Creek in 5 years because the permits are always sold out.

Yeah and thats also on lakes that are a couple thousand acres.
The pressure on these streams and rivers are an apples and oranges comparison to the fishing pressure up there.
Also, trout are simply a very different fish than a walleye, perch, crappie, or a bass.
